Our Pastor

Pastor RonPastor Ron Marcoux is an honors graduate of Ball State University and an Alford Scholar at Methodist Theological School in Ohio, where he earned his Master of Divinity degree. Before answering God’s call to ministry, he held sales and marketing management positions and owned a fundraising company. He is currently a provisional elder in The United Methodist Church and serves as the lead pastor of Edwardsville United Methodist Church.

Pastor Ron is a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and embraces the great commandment Jesus gave to love God with all our heart, soul, strength, and mind as we love our neighbors. He believes this basic command is the key to building relationships that sustain individuals and transform communities. His motto is: “Keep It Simple, Love God, and Love Neighbor.”

Pastor Ron is also passionate about mission, outreach, and creative forms of ministry that bring all people to Christ’s table. As part of his commitment to mission, he serves on the Indiana Conference’s Fresh Expressions and Multiply Indiana Steering Committees and is a certified Fresh Expressions coach. Although he believes the local church must seek fresh ways to connect to the community, he has never lost sight that his top priorities are serving the local church through pastoral care, discipleship, fellowship, and worship.
