FOOD DRIVE—SUNDAY, May 21
We will be collecting food on Sunday, May 21 for Hope of Southern Indiana.  This will be our first food drive for 2023. Each family received a bag to put food in on Sunday.  If you did not receive a bag, please feel free to stop in and get one if you need one or more. The bags were provided by Georgetown Cash Saver.  Hope has shared with us their need for the following items at this time: canned tuna; spaghetti and spaghetti sauce; peanut butter; saltine crackers, ready meal canned soups; canned beans {no green beans}; shampoos; laundry detergents; diapers {sizes 4-6}. We will gather the food in the Sanctuary around the center altar table.

Save the Date: Sunday, June 11—PASTOR CINDY and TILLY’s LAST SUNDAY
We will have one service at 10:00 a.m. and a pitch-in lunch following worship to celebrate Pastor Cindy’s retirement and departure from EUMC.  Meat {Chicken} will be provided by SPRC.  Please bring a side dish, salad or dessert to share.  You may bring cards/greetings to share with Pastor and Tilly regarding your thanks for her ministry and service with us over these past three years.

EDWARDSVILLE  UNITED METHODIST CHURCH YARD SALE—May 13
Covenant Keepers thanks you for your support of the yard sale. The profit was $3675 approximately.  The remaining items were donated to the Depauw UMC’s Thrift Store to be sold there.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Plans are underway for Summer VBS.  A basket is available in the Narthex to sign-up to help. Please place your name, email address, phone number and preference for where you would like to help.  Please place in basket.  It will be sometime in July for 4 days for 2 hours at a time.  If you have questions, please talk with Mary Jane Flick at 502-396-6252 or email her at mjanef@gmail.com.

SAVE THE DATE Chicken BARBEQUE
Saturday, June 24 from 12 noon -6 p.m. or chicken is sold out.  Signup sheet is available in the Narthex. Please let us know where and how you would like to help.
Meal will consist of 1/2 chicken, baked beans, slaw, dinner roll, dessert, iced tea or lemonade.  Carry-Outs will be available. Meals will be $12.00 per meal.

COMMONWEALTH BRASS BAND will perform in the EUMC Sanctuary on Wednesday June 14 at 7:00 p.m. There will be a free-will offering received on this evening. Invite your friends, neighbors, family and music lovers to this great concert.  If you have questions, feel to talk with Raymond Horton or Steve Lasher.

EUMC TRUSTEES
If you are needing any wood for summer fire pits/bon fires, campfires, or at your home fire place, there is free fire wood available at the church in the north yard behind the Burning bushes.  There are sections of 18” tall by 3’ in diameter.  It is free to anyone who wishes to take it.

Painter needed for a bedroom at the Parsonage. We have a bedroom in the basement of the parsonage that needs to be painted.  We are waiting to see what color Madison {Pastor Ron/Krishna’s daughter} would like for that room. The paint will be provided. If you would like to help, see Bill Dorsch if you or a crew would like to tackle that project.
