Pastor Cindy’s Sept. 23rd Epistle

Willing Workers Quilt and Craft Show is on for 2022!
Quilt and Craft show opens tomorrow! The ladies have been working diligently the past three days to get everything out and ready for you to come and shop. Bring your friends and others on either Friday, September 23 from 9 a.m.—6:00 p.m. or Saturday, September 24 from 9:00 to 4:00 p.m. There are rummage sale items, beautiful quilts and other handmade runners and items all on display in the New Fellowship Hall.   There are lots of beautiful crafts for fall, Thanksgiving, and Christmas for sale in the Quilters Room. Door Admission will be $1.00 with proceeds going to Habitat for Humanity in memory of Ada Melville {Mike Cunio’s mother}. Ada made many hats and scarves provided from yarn donated to the Willing Workers. She also made some baby blankets in the past. Some of her hats also made their way to some of our clients at Exit 0.  There will be no food sold this year. There will be jellies, jams, and candies for sale in the Country Store located in the Craft Area {Old Fellowship Hall – Willing Workers Area}.  We will look forward to seeing you at Quilt and Craft Show.

Wednesday Night Worship will be the Second Wednesday of each month. The next Wednesday night worship will be October 12 in the Epi-Center at 6:00 p.m.  Same format as before: Free Food, Hour of Worship and sharing.  Bring your family and friends and come out to SECOND WEDNESDAY WORSHIP—October 12, 2022 at 6:00 p.m.

Harvest Homecoming
Harvest Homecoming will be on October 6-9 in New Albany. Candy making dates will be Tuesday, Sept. 27; Thursday, Sept. 29, and Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 6:00 p.m. each night.   Donations for candy making need to be at the church by Tuesday, September 27. Please place these items in the kitchen in New Fellowship Hall. Sign-up sheets for donating pop and candy ingredients are on a table in the Narthex outside of the sanctuary. If you are going to donate pop/soda, we are only taking donations of the following flavors: Coke {Regular/Diet}; Pepsi {Regular/Diet}; Sprite, Mountain Dew, and Water.  Pop can be left in the New Fellowship Hall as well. You can sign up for the times you want to work in the trailer during the festival at the same location. If you can’t make candy or work, you might think about donating cash to help with the purchase of those things that don’t get donated. Be planning now on how you might help with this great time of fellowship and outreach in the community. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Spark Kid’s Ministry—TRUNK OR TREAT
Trunk or Treat is coming on Saturday, October 29 from 3:00 p.m.—5:30 p.m.  There will be a Chili Cook-off, time for trunks and treats, best car decorations, pumpkin patch.  Keep watching for more details in the weekly Epistle, in October Spotlight, on EUMC Facebook and on IG—Instagram at eumc.soin for more details. Invite your friends and share the event via Facebook and Instagram. Hope to see you there.
