09 Nov Pastor’s Epistle for Nov. 9, 2018
This morning my mind and heart are occupied with thoughts of Sharon Minyard, I leave for her service in a few moments.
Sharon’s passing was a surprise, shock, certainly not expected. She was such a joy and blessing to the church, and to the Willing Workers.
One of the verses I will share with her family and friends in a little bit is from Psalms 23.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,[d]
I fear no evil;
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff,
they comfort me.
Whether death is unexpected or expected, we will be met and welcomed by our friend and Savior Jesus. Whether it is a relief or a fear, we know we will not be alone. Jesus has promised to be with us and that is Good News! He will guide us through whatever it is, to go from this world to the mansion with many rooms that has been prepared for us!
None of us knows the years, days or hours of our life here, but we do know our Savior. He is the Lord of life and love. He is the one who died that we might be saved and go to join the saints.
Bless you each as we celebrate and honor the Saints before us and the saints we serve with.
