Pastor’s Epistle, June 23rd 2017

I want you to know that it was a wonderful week at Champ Camp! It is always a blessing to work with the children and counselors! It is also a joy to watch Jamie Redden work and love the children
A couple of other updates:

1: Shelter House. We have raised over $10,000 for the project – so it is funded! We applied for the county building permit, and got sent to the state to get a permit. The application has been sent in (twice) and we should have it approved in the next week or so. The Construction team will then set dates and order materials. We “hope” to have it done by late summer. Thanks to each of you for your prayers and financial support for this project.

2: The Field. So that the 11 acers of open field can be used the Trustees entered into an agreement with Gary Loftus to keep the area clean and looking good (and maintain the prayer path) while he uses the land for an organic garden. This is a very beneficial arrangement for the church and Gary. The agreement is written such that when we are called by God to use the property we will be able to end the agreement with reasonable notice. It is a blessing to have good neighbors.

3: Vacation Bible School. Only a couple of weeks away! So iron your cape, invite the neighbor kids, and come be a part of this adventure in fun and faith!

In service,
Pastor Dave
